What we offer

We offer Clinical Psychology and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Whether you have a clear idea of what you need or feel uncertain, we can help you explore which approach may be most helpful for you.

Clinical Psychology

Clinical Psychology invites an opportunity to think together from a variety of evidence-based approaches. Clinical Psychologists are trained to assess the complexity of your presenting problems and we intervene by both acknowledging and challenging the ways in which you may respond. We are trained in multiple models including; Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Community and Liberation practices. We would work together during an assessment period to think about what approach would best fit your current needs.

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy creates a space for you to bring your concerns and pre-occupations without a set agenda. Together we will think about complex behaviours, thoughts and emotions which can be difficult to understand, often because the meaning lies outside of your immediate awareness. Often this process involves exploring how past experiences link to present struggles by looking back at the course of your life. We will also consider the function that behaviours hold currently and how they might be thought about differently. The purpose of this work is to develop new self-awareness and understanding, challenging well-established ways of being in the world that are causing unhappiness, anxiety and distress. In this way psychotherapy can improve the relationship we have with ourselves and others around us.

Supervision, Consultation and Reflective Practice
