The Practice
Y Psychology & Psychotherapy (Y-PP) provides high-quality, evidence-based therapy for adults, children, young people and families. We offer a confidential and compassionate space to explore life’s difficulties, deepen understanding and support meaningful change.
Our clinicians bring extensive experience from the NHS and across the public, charitable, education and private sectors. All are accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and/or the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP).
We work collaboratively to understand your concerns, explore challenges, and support personal development in a respectful, inclusive and non-judgemental environment.

People seek therapy for many different reasons. You may feel stuck or notice difficulties managing emotions such as anxiety or low mood. You could find yourself repeating patterns in relationships or in behaviour that you would like to understand more fully. Some people come following bereavement or traumatic experiences, or when struggling with how they relate to themselves or others.
Therapy provides a reflective space to explore these experiences, develop new understandings and begin to find a way forward. The insights gained in therapy often continue to unfold long after the work has ended. At the heart of our practice is care and compassion. We remain attentive to the wider realities people live within, including prejudice, oppression and the unequal challenges faced by many in society.
At Y-PP, we see therapy as a creative and collaborative process. Our clinicians draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives, including systemic and psychoanalytic approaches, adapting their work to the needs of each person.
